About Baiskoaf
Simply put Baiskoaf is an effort to dent the perception of what cinema means to Maldivians, and to explore the many facets of the moving image.
More specifically, we aim to promote;
a) Non-mainstream cinema
b) Cinema as art
c) Cinema as a form of expression – including creative expression
d) The timelessness of Cinema
e) Themes and genres overlooked, or under-represented, in mainstream cinema
f) The understanding of film and filmmaking through critical, theoretical analysis
